What are fillers and why would I get them?
Dermal fillers are a popular and highly effective treatment to rejuvenate and enhance the shape of different areas of the face. The most commonly used dermal filler is Hyaluronic acid, which is a naturally occurring substance found within cells.
The dermal filler is a gel like substance which is injected under the skin and acts as a cushion to support facial structures and tissues. They can be used to improve the firmness and fullness of the skin and are commonly used to smooth out any wrinkles or folds. They can also be used to enhance the shape or increase the volume of facial structures including the lips, nose, chin and cheeks.
The Procedure
The first step will include having an initial consultation with one of our qualified aesthetic doctors. This will involve a conversation about your current health and the look you’re trying to achieve.
Once you’ve decided on the treatment you’d like, the practitioner will carry out the procedure once the steps have been explained to you. Numbing cream can be applied to minimise any pain.
The procedure takes 15 - 20 minutes depending on the area being treated and the look you're trying to achieve. The results can be seen immediately, and the final result can be seen after 10 - 14 days. The results last up to 6 - 12 months.
